HOW TO GET THERE

Arrival by Air

Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) is the major international hub close to Karlsruhe. A long distance train from the train station directly at the airport (Frankfurt(M) Flughafen Fernbf) will most conveniently take you to Karlsruhe main station (Karlsruhe Hbf) in about one hour. Upon arrival at FRA, follow the signs to the long distance train station (Fernbahnhof).

Stuttgart Airport (STR) is another, smaller option for arrival close to Karlsruhe. There are also train connections between STR and Karlsruhe which, however, are slightly less convenient and require to change trains.

The third option for arrival by air is Baden Airpark, Flughafen Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden (FKB). The airport is rather small offering mostly short distance flights. A bus commutes between FKB and Karlsruhe.

Arrival by Train

After arrival to Karlsruhe main station (Karlsruhe Hbf) by a long distance train, a local tram will conveniently take you to your hotel or to the conference venue. The tram stop located closest to the conference venue is called Kronenplatz and is easily reachable from the main station by many local lines (S1/S11/S8/S7/S4/2). Exiting the train station, make sure you take a train traveling to the right. Taxis are also available in front of the train station.

Arrival by Car

The highway A5 directly passes Karlsruhe. Since parking spots in the city are limited, you may want to consider renting a parking spot at the hotel of your choice. We do not recommend taking the car from your hotel to the conference venue. You would have to leave your car at a rather distant parking lot since you may not directly drive on and park at the campus.
